SYSTEM ALERT: Change in Video thumbnails not getting updated

We're currently having issues with changing video thumbnails. They are not getting updated when you choose to change them on the 'Edit My Video' Information page. We're working to fix this as soon as possible, and will update you when it's been fixed.

SYSTEM ALERT: Fake video links being emailed

There are currently emails being sent with fake video links that may install malicious software on your computer.

If you think you may have received a suspicious video link, hover your cursor over the link to see where it's redirecting you (look in the lower left corner of your browser's status bar). If the link doesn't direct you to youtube.com, it's not from us. Some people have recently been creating emails to appear as if they were sent from YouTube.

If you've already clicked a suspicious link, you may want to scan your computer with anti-virus and anti-spyware software to discover any malicious software that may have been installed on your computer without your knowledge.

SYSTEM ALERT: Favorites link in user profile page

RESOLVED: We are currently experiencing issues with viewing the favorites of users who haven't uploaded any videos. When you try to view their favorite videos, you'll receive an error stating: "This user doesn't have any videos at this time!" We're currently working on this and hope to have it fixed shortly. Thanks for your patience!


Update (8/24/2007, 10:18 am PDT):
This has been fixed. You can now view everyone's favorite videos.

SYSTEM ALERT: System emails aren't being sent

RESOLVED: We're experiencing an issue with our mail server so you may not receive any emails that you request from our system. This includes confirmation emails, private messages, lost usernames and passwords, subscription updates, group invitations, updates to accounts, and sharing videos. We're working on resolving this issue as quickly as possible and will update you when this is fixed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Update (8/14/2007, 08:49 am PDT):
This has been fixed. Emails are being sent promptly now. However, please note that you have to request or send the required emails once again.
