Some uploads are stuck processing. The YouTube team is aware of this issue and working on a fix. Uploads that are currently stuck processing will be re-processed once the bug has been fixed.

SYSTEM ALERT: AudioSwap shortening some videos

Currently using AudioSwap to reset your video's audio may shorten it to 1 min 47 secs. If your video is longer than 1 min 47 secs, we recommend you not use the AudioSwap feature until we've resolved this issue. We are working on a solution and will update the Help Center and Forum shortly once this has been corrected.

SYSTEM ALERT: Insight Feature not functional today

SYSTEM ALERT: Embedded players working now

Many users have not been able to play YouTube videos embedded on other websites. People have been reporting seeing the following message when they try to view embedded videos: "This video is no longer available."

This issue has now been fixed and you should be able to watch embedded videos normally.

SYSTEM ALERT: Video Views in My Account are temporarily down

We've temporarily removed the sum of all your video's views while we sort out a technical issue with the code that generates it. In the meantime, the top-level Insight page allows you to track the sum of your videos' views on a day-by-day basis so you can identify big changes without checking every single one of your videos. SYSTEM ALERT: Quicklists not updating in your Account

You cannot currently add videos to your Quicklist from within your account page. To add videos to your Quicklist that are currently in one of your Playlists, follow the steps below:

Click the "Playlists" link on your channel page.

Click the "+" on a video you want to add from the list.

Once your list is created, you can see the QuickList bar besides any video you watch.

SYSTEM ALERT: Playlist change

YouTube has changed the way you view YouTube Playlists. Playlists you own can still be accessed through the “Playlists” link in your Account. If you’re having trouble playing videos in your Account page, remember that anyone (including you) can access your playlist from your channel. To view someone’s Playlist, simply click the “Playlists” link at the top of their channel. To see a list of the videos in a Playlist, click the Playlist title. To play the entire Playlist, you can click the “Play All” link.

SYSTEM ALERT: YouTube Multi-Video Uploader causing infinite loop

The YouTube Multi-Video Uploader is causing some people's computers to become caught in a loop between the upload and install pages. We are aware of this issue and will update this post when it's resolved. In the meantime, if you're experiencing this problem, you may want to try using the single video uploader.

We've been able to fix this issue. Uploading through both the single video uploader and the multi-video uploader now work properly.

SYSTEM ALERT: Upload page stuck on "Connecting" in FireFox

Users on Firefox that just upgraded to the newest version of Adobe Flash may be stuck "Connecting" when trying to upload and may not be able to successfully upload a video. In the meantime, you may want to use another browser, the multi-uploader, or you can click the "Click here if you are having problems" link on the upload page in order to upload your video. We're working to resolve this issue and will update you when it is fixed.

SYSTEM ALERT: Personal profile information being erased when trying to update in IE

We are aware that any update to the 'Personal Profile' page using Internet Explorer erases all existing information on the channel page.

These updates include everything from uploading a new profile icon to making changes in the "About Me" section. Engineers are looking into this and it should be fixed very soon.

Meanwhile, please consider using a different browser to make changes to your 'Personal profile' page.

SYSTEM ALERT: Phishing emails being sent from non “@youtube.com” email addresses

We've recently had users complain about receiving messages that emulate our emails. We are aware that some people have been creating emails to appear as if they were sent from YouTube, and these seem to propagate phishing websites.

If you think you may have received a suspicious link, hover your cursor over the link to see where it's redirecting you (look in the lower left corner of your browser's status bar). If the link doesn't direct you to youtube.com, it's not from us.

If you've already clicked a suspicious link, you may want to scan your computer with anti-virus and anti-spyware software to discover any malicious software that may have been installed on your computer without your knowledge.

ERROR: "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."

Users with ad-blocking software enabled may not be able to see videos due to a conflict with our flash detection code and may see this error. Our engineers are still working on resolving this issue but it is expected to be fixed soon. If you are unable to see any videos because of this issue, you may want to try temporarily disabling ad-blocking in your browser or security software. Thanks for your patience.

There are currently emails being sent with fake video links that may install malicious software on your computer.

RESOLVED: We are currently experiencing issues with viewing the favorites of users who haven't uploaded any videos. SYSTEM ALERT: Unable to approve video comments

RESOLVED: If you've set any of your videos to only display comments after you've approved them, you currently can't approve comments. When you click the "Approve" link next to any pending comments, you'll receive an error message. We're working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible, and will update you when it's been fixed.

RESOLVED: Some users have reported that certain videos become stuck on the loading screen when you try to play them. We are working with Internet Service Providers to resolve this issue and will have an update shortly.

RESOLVED: Currently, you're not able to change your YouTube password. If you try to make a change to your password, you'll receive an "Authorization Error" message. We're working to correct this issue shortly and will update you when it's been fixed.

Videos processing slowly

SYSTEM ALERT: Looking for your subscriptions?

RESOLVED: Our homepage subscription module has been temporarily disabled, so to find those videos, you’ll need to click the “My Subscriptions” link in your account. From there, you should be able to see the latest videos from users and tags to which you’ve subscribed. Our engineers are actively working to bring this module back to you – we’ll post an update if there’s any change.

We 've fixed the bug that caused the Subscriptions module to disappear from the homepage. You should now be able to access your subscriptions as your normally would.
